Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Lovesick Pasionee

Hey Ladies,

Hope you all are doing well!! How did the Monday after a long weekend go? Mine passed really fast...Everyone now days are wild about Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stains. Revlon has come up with some pretty new and vibrant shades. So my pick of the day is Love Sick Passionnee.

Product I am gonna review now is Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm stain 020-Lovesick Passionnee I have also got one more shade i.e. Crush Beguin (Click here for the review)

Let’s begin with what Revlon Claims

My Take on the Product:

I actually went to buy Honey but was not available Perhaps this was the color I chose.The color of this shade is bright pink on my lips...i love this color but when I saw the packaging I thought it would be a bit lighter than it actually is.

As said earlier also the fragrance is sort of Minty, a menthol types which lightens in few mins.

The stick is quite easy to apply, since it is a stain so we have to apply it properly just to ensure that you stay within your lip line.

The formula is light, moisturizing and quite easy to wear; you can easily find the dupes of this color.

I have a bit of a love hate rapport with stains - I love their staying power and their color durability. But i don't like the way they can dry out your lips and leave a kind of patchy look as the color descends into dry spots.

I actually favor having the stain and balm in two separate applicators. Though I do love products that come in these handy crayon like containers, they are just so travel friendly also no lip liner is required for these stains.

Would I recommend?

I definitely would as I myself was trying to lay my hands on the shade Honey…but I really would love to try some other brands like Maybelline and Color bar.

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color Review and Swatch

Hope you guys had a comforting weekend! Today I am reviewing one of the most wanted and less reviewed products by Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color No 185 Rose Dust

Gone are the days of that horrible look when your lipstick has faded, leaving only the lip line

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color does appear to stretch the boundaries when it comes to longwearing lipstick .It promises a full 24 hours of coverage. Most others only claim 8-14 hours coverage. Of course they don't actually bring on that guarantee.

I am a huge fan of wearing lipstick and love subtle and soft lip colors . Lip color brings out brightness to your face and compliments your overall makeup I hope you all agree to this ?? Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color lipstick comes in 30 different colors, which include Shades in reds/corals, Berry colors, Shades of pink & purple and browns.

So let’s begin with the review.

My take on the product:

Price : 5.4 RO (Omani Rial) ( Approx 780-800 Rs in India)

Features:

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color is the longest wearing lipstick I have found to date, you guys have to trust me on this. The super creamy formula does not cake or flake like a lot of other longwearing lipsticks. It provides just the right amount of gloss without looking overly artificial. And that is why I love it. The lipstick stayed on my lips with no traces of it on my drinking glass or even while eating. The two step process, which consists of color followed by moisturizing lip balm, ensures that the color is sealed in while the lips are moisturized and protected.

I've tried L'Oreal “Infallible Never Fail Lipstick” before and I was not an admirer of it. It was too peeling and dried my lips out completely. The balm that came with the lipstick was also not a bit helpful because it just ended up drying out the lipstick even more.

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color comes with a double applicator. One end contains the color, and the other is a lip balm that helps keep the lip color looking soft and supple. Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color can be found universally where Maybelline products are sold. 

Pros:

·         Good staying power it stayed on my lips during the day (about 12 hours) but then again, I can’t imagine a lip color to last a full 24 hours anyways, and even 12 hours are great, I did apply the balm at least 2 times throughout the day, but the color was still fresh and bold at end of the day and was not transferable to anything.

·         There are varieties to choose from..I bet you would pick all.

·         It was weightless and looked flawless.

·         It does tend to leave your lips a little dry, but the balm completely moisturized my lips much better than L'Oreal Infallible lipstick.

·         I had to reapply the balm at least 2 times throughout the day, but the color was still fresh and bold.

Cons:

·         You can remove the lip stain with an oil-based makeup remover. Well this is not a Con, but not everybody carries the Makeup Remover for all time.

·         Bit Expensive with very little product

Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Crush Beguin Review & Swatch

How are you all doing?? Its Monday afternoon and Monday’s are quite boring with loads of work and tensions..so just removed a little time for this review.

I recently got this new Revlon Lip stain its said as Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in the colour 005 Crush Beguin as it is recently launched in India so here’s the review and swatch.

Price : Rs 600/- for 0.09 oz (2.7 g)

Features:

It is really moisturizing on your lips but not very sheer the way Revlon Lip Butters are. Even Colorbar has come up with something called the “Take me as I am” lipsticks,  has to be sharpened it and costs approx 699/- when I last saw them.

It dries quickly and needs a gloss to be applied. The fragrance is sort of a Minty , a menthol types which fades away in 30 mins.

Lasting / Staying power is good, Crush is striking berry or plum color and gives a very rich look. I wore Crush for the entire day and I still have vibrant pink lips. Packaging is good , it reminds me of the the NYX jumbo Sticks but those need a sharpener and these doesn’t. The silver twist up section at the base is really nicely built-into the design. My only complaint is that the lid doesn't fit on the opposite end of the stick. I don't know about you, but if I can't put the lids on the back end I put them down and it takes me almost half an hour to find them again.

May be I need to be extra careful about the lid being misplaced.

Pros

·         Very moisturizing and Creamy but not buttery texture ,Easy to apply.

·         Easily available in India.

·         Long Staying Power (i.e 4-5 hours)

·         Travel Friendly

Cons

·         At times in some lighting it’s shows a plum colour and in other it’s more of a raspberry colour.

·         Not that pigmented

·         I found it expensive

·         I don’t think it’s the best lip stain I’ve ever bought.
